Werder Bremen target Juventus' Amauri - report

 

The Brazil-born attacker has been excluded from the Bianconeri squad after turning down offers from Fenerbahce and Olympique de Marseille during the summer.

Amauri was keen to prove himself at the Serie A side, but with his situation unlikely to change, he is now looking to move on when the transfer window opens in January.

The 31-year-old has reportedly been sounded out by Werder Bremen as the Weserstadion outfit attempt to mount a serious challenge in the Bundesliga, in which they currently sit third.

However, it has been suggested that Amauri will only consider a loan move as he wishes to become a free agent when his Juventus contract expires in June in order to carefully plan his future.

Amauri, who joined Juventus in 2008 for €22.8 million, spent the second half of 2010-11 on loan at Parma, netting seven goals in 11 appearances.
